| TIPS & OPTIONS | Payment: Book now and pay on-site.
Wed & Sat only: This tour departs just twice a week — book early. Altınbeşik Cave: Turkey’s largest underground lake cave and the 3rd largest in the world. Open since 1994, the cave has a stable temperature of ~16°C year-round. The tour enters by rafting boat across a 125 m long, 15 m deep underground lake — a completely unique experience. The total explored length is 5.5 km; visitors see the first 200 m section. Button Houses: Built ~500 years ago, these distinctive houses feature wooden “button-like” end-points on the exterior. Classic mortar was not used — the structure relies on timber framing. Some houses are still inhabited; the village is protected heritage. Monumental Chestnut Tree: One of Turkey’s oldest trees at ~1,100 years, with a circumference of ~18 m — one of the most iconic photo stops of the tour. |
