World records: Antalya Aquarium holds the record for the world’s longest tunnel aquarium (131 m). Opened on 15 August 2012, it is consistently one of Turkey’s top 5 most visited tourist attractions by foreign tourists. Shark feeding: Sharks are fed at set times of the day — check with the guide on arrival for the day’s schedule. Standing in the amphitheatre as the sharks circle is one of the most memorable moments. Snow World at -5°C in summer: A genuine highlight — entering a snowy igloo village when the temperature outside is 40°C. Soft snow suitable for snowballs. Protective outer clothes provided free of charge at the entrance. WildPark flash prohibition: No flash photography inside WildPark — flash can be perceived as an attack by the reptiles and venomous creatures in their terrariums. Long journey from Alanya: Antalya Aquarium is ~130 km from Alanya (approx. 1.5–2 hours each way). The 11-hour total tour duration reflects the travel time — plan for a full day out. |
