| WHAT YOU’LL SEE | The Lake: Emerald green freshwater lake formed by the Oymapınar Dam, surrounded by endless pine forests (red pine, spruce, cedar, oak, willow).
The Canyons: Two canyons — the Small Canyon (200 m high, 5 km from pier) and the Grand Canyon (7 km from restaurant, hundreds of metres long). Steep cliffs with trees growing through the rock walls. Smoky (Dumanlı) Spring: One of the world’s largest springs — produces 50,000 m³ of water per hour. Boats struggle to stay still near it. Flora & Fauna: Wild goats, pigs, squirrels, foxes, hundreds of bird species. The rare Brown Fish Owl (endangered, only found in SE Asia, Far East and the Taurus Mountains) lives here — watch carefully in the trees. |
